Acrylic board is an MDF board covered with an acrylic coating. It is an excellent alternative to painted fronts. Resistant to scratches and UV radiation, it does not discolour, and additional hardening makes it resistant to mechanical damage. These boards are available both in high gloss, which gives a mirror effect, and in a matte version. Some matte boards have a hydrophobic coating, which makes fingerprints less visible and is easier to clean. Acrylic boards are available in many colours, both solid and metallic.
